Jon Parrish was born in Trenton, New Jersey and has been a resident of Florida.
Jon Parrish was born in Trenton, New Jersey, and has lived in Florida since the age of five (5). Jon Parrish won the Broward County Science Fair at the age of 13 and finished second in the State of Florida Science Fair in the category of Zoology.
Jon Parrish graduated from Nova High School in 1981, where he was a part of the gifted program and received a National Merit Scholarship. Jon Parrish was a National Merit Scholar at the University of Florida from 1981 to 1985, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English Literature.
He was then awarded a scholarship and hired as a teaching assistant at the University of California, Irvine, where he was accepted into the Ph. D. program. Jon Parrish left academia after his first year at UGI to work as a Management Information Consultant in the consulting section of Arthur Andersen (now known as Accenture) in 1986.
Jon Parrish worked as a Management Consultant for Pratt & Whitney, United Technologies in Jupiter, Florida, and the Student Lending Division of Florida Federal Savings Bank (the country's third largest student loan issuer and servicer at the time).
